Neighbourwood beers – a collab double release with Molly Rose.
Beer # 1 – Taking a strictly traditional Helles Lager recipe that includes German Pilsner and Munich malts with peppery Hersbrucker hops, we decided to age that beer on French oak staves for 3 months. The resulting character from the oak jumps out of the glass with layers of vanilla, exotic spices and coffee beans. This blends nicely with bready, toasty notes from the malt and finishes with a snappy tannin like bitterness you would normally find in an oaky pinot noir.
